Eight Garage Door Services Across Phoenix
Sunbelt Garage Door covers eight garage door services across metro Phoenix through the licensed pros we connect you with, and they fall into three groups. Five of them fix a specific moving part: the springs that lift the door, the cables that carry its weight, the track it rides in, the individual panels, and the opener that drives it. Emergency repair covers a door that is stuck open or stuck closed at the wrong hour. New installation and tune-ups sit at opposite ends of a door’s life, one for when repair no longer makes sense and the other for catching problems before they strand the car. Most people reach this page knowing a symptom, not a part name, so the guide below starts there. Garage doors fail in recognizable ways, and the sound you heard, the position the door stopped in and what it did just before it quit usually point to one service. If the match is not obvious, call (480) 790-6364 and describe what you saw. A person helps you when you call, the pros we work with are licensed and insured, and you hear the price before any work begins.
Which service do you need?
Match what you are seeing to the closest line. If two lines fit, mention both when you call. Whatever the symptom, keep hands and faces away from the springs, cables and bottom corner brackets, which stay under load even when the door is sitting still.
- The door will not lift and you heard a loud bang. A broken torsion spring is the most common cause, and the door suddenly weighs far more than the opener was built to handle. Leave it alone and read about garage door spring repair.
- The opener hums, clicks or runs but the door does not respond properly. A broken spring can cause this too, so do not force a door that feels extremely heavy. If the door moves easily by hand after the red release cord is pulled, the trouble is the opener, its remote or its sensors. That is garage door opener repair.
- The door hangs crooked, or a cable looks slack or frayed. A lift cable carries the weight at each side of the door, so one that has snapped or slipped off its drum tilts everything. That is garage door cable repair.
- The door jumped the track. Rollers out of their channel, or a door bent and jammed at the curve near the top, usually follow a bumper tap or a hard gust. Do not force it back, because that can crease the sections. That is off-track garage door repair.
- One section is dented or cracked. A single damaged panel can often be replaced without replacing the whole door, as long as the design is still made and the new section matches. That is garage door panel replacement.
- The door is stuck open or stuck closed after hours. An open door leaves the house exposed overnight, and a closed one can trap a car inside. Call and ask for emergency garage door repair.
- The door is more than twenty years old, or beyond repair. Cracked or rusted sections, an opening that has settled out of square, or repairs that keep stacking up usually mean replacement is the better value. That is new garage door installation.
- Nothing is wrong yet. If the door has grown louder, slower or jerkier, or nobody has looked at it in years, a visit to find the next failure before it finds you is a garage door tune-up.
What Each Service Covers

Builder-grade torsion springs are typically rated for about 10,000 cycles, so a busy household can wear one out in a few years. The pro replaces torsion springs, and extension springs with their safety cables, then rebalances the door so the opener is not left carrying the weight.
Learn More →A remote that stopped responding, a motor that hums without moving the door, or a door that reverses on the way down all point to different faults. The pro finds which one it is, then repairs or replaces the opener, including Wi-Fi models, and checks sensor alignment and travel limits.
Learn More →A lift cable holds up one side of the door, so when it frays or slips off its drum the door hangs crooked. The pro replaces the cable, checks the drum and bottom brackets, and looks at the springs, since parts that were installed together tend to wear out together.
Learn More →Doors usually leave the track after a bumper tap, a bent roller or a gust. Forcing one back can crease the panels, so the pro inspects the track, rollers and sections first, then reseats the door and realigns it so it runs smoothly again.
Learn More →A crushed or cracked section does not always mean a new door. The pro replaces individual panels when the manufacturer still makes the design, and says so plainly when it has been discontinued and a close match or a full door is the realistic choice.
Learn More →A door stuck open leaves the garage and the house behind it exposed, and one stuck shut can trap a car. A person helps you when you call, and the first job is making the door safe and the garage secure.
Learn More →When sections are cracked or rusted, the opening has settled out of square, or repairs keep stacking up, replacing the door is often the better value. The pro installs new doors suited to Arizona heat, sets up the opener, and can quote the repair and the replacement side by side.
Learn More →The pro tests the balance and the safety reversal, lubricates the moving parts and tightens loose brackets, while looking for frayed cables and drifting sensors. It is worth booking for a newer house after its first year or two, when slabs settle, and for any door that has started to get louder.
Learn More →What every call includes
The work changes with the door. These five things do not.
- A person helps you when you call. The number is (480) 790-6364.
- You hear the price before any work starts. The cost is explained first, so you can decide with the number in front of you.
- A licensed and insured technician we connect you with comes to your door. That matters most with springs and cables, which carry enough tension to injure someone.
- The pros we connect you with usually carry common parts on the truck. Many repairs can be finished on the first visit. A part that has to be ordered, such as a discontinued panel or a custom-cut door, takes longer, and you are told so up front.
- Fast scheduling. Timing depends on where you are and what else the pro has booked that day, so nobody promises a minute.
What drives the price
Two repairs that sound alike can cost very different amounts, and the reasons are mostly physical. The first factor is which part failed. A spring, a cable, a roller and an opener are different parts with different labor behind them. The second is the door itself. Springs are sized to the weight of the door, so a wide, insulated or windowed door needs heavier hardware than a light single-layer one.
Openers vary with the drive type, with features such as Wi-Fi and battery backup, and with whether the existing unit can be repaired at all. Panels depend on whether the design is still made and whether the color and pattern match. Non-standard openings and made-to-order doors add measuring and lead time. Age matters too, because a repair on a worn-out door is often followed by another one, and a replacement quote is worth having beside it.
You can make the quote more accurate before anyone arrives. Tell the person who answers whether the door is stuck open or closed, how many springs you can see above it, what it did just before it stopped, and whether a car is inside. A phone photo of the door and the label on the inside of it helps more than a description does.
